Alcides has over 20 years of experience in management consulting and corporate executive functions. He has a long successful record in leading projects in strategic planning, operational improvement, business process optimization, supply chain strategy and procurement efficiency improvement. Alcides has consistently advised multinational and national organizations guiding them in change processes pursuing gains in competitive advantage and sustained operational efficiency. He has implemented strategic projects impacting positively EBITDA figures. Substantial cost reduction actions, business process innovation and sustained transfer of best practices are among his mains achievements.
In addition to his management consulting experience, Alcides held positions as Director for Proen Engineering and Country Manager of Baron Oil (UK) in Brazil. For the Steel Group ArcelorMittal, he served as General Manager for Corporate Development in Brazil and a member of the Steel Committee in France. Prior to that, he was a Project Manager in the Operations Management Practice of Arthur D. Little Management Consulting, where he conducted relevant assignments for leading corporations in Brazil and Europe in segments such as Steel, Mining, Energy, Logistics, Electronics and Automotive. Alcides started his career as a scientific research assistant at the University of Mannheim, Germany.
Alcides holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mannheim and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and German and has a good proficiency in Spanish. He has cross cultural working experience in Brazil, US and Europe.
