David Schofield brings over two decades of data engineering and architecture experience to his boutique consulting practice, fiatlux.io (formerly L2Bedford), where he focuses on semantic architecture and enterprise data strategy. Prior to running his independent practice, he served in senior technical leadership roles at major organizations including Netflix, Salesforce, Coca-Cola, and Microsoft.
David has particular expertise in closing the “fidelity gap” between digital systems and real-world business complexity, and is fiercely committed to doing data right—building ontologies and knowledge graphs that capture true meaning rather than just moving volume through brittle pipelines.
He lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Kathleen, and spends his free time as a high-volume road cyclist, fostering rescue dogs, and leading a local community organization.
