Ed Defty is an independent Supply Chain consultant with a broad range of international experience across business to business and direct to consumer supply chains. Since leaving his role as Vice President of Sourcing and Procurement at Delicato Family wines he has consulted with small businesses on supply chain and organizational challenges.
Prior to Delicato he served as a Director of Global Merchandise and Supply Chain Engineering at The Walt Disney Company where he led a global team in support of the Theme Parks and Disney Stores retails supply chains in the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to that he was a Corporate Director for Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing where his teams managed over $400 million in annual transportation contracts and supported the global supply chains across the various Disney business segments.
Ed is a retired Navy Reserve officer having served in Asia, the Middle East and Europe as a Naval Aviator. He lives in the Napa Valley with his wife, Marlies, and spends his free time riding his bikes or on the soccer fields as a referee for youth, high school and adult leagues.
