Eric has a focus on agricultural innovation and scaling up businesses internationally. He understand all aspects of growing, trading and financing crops as well as operating a high-tech organization. He helps companies or innovators develop their strategy and expand internationally.
He has built a leading European agricultural research farm lab in the Netherlands developing solutions to optimize biological growth for leading agricultural companies.
Prior to this, Eric spent over 25 years in Financial Services in the USA and Europe in finance and consulting roles working for international companies, including JP Morgan, IBM, Pfizer, ING Bank.
He served on the Executive Board as a director for several large commodity trading companies responsible for Strategy, M&A and Technology.
He started his career in the USA in various roles, including financing commodity trading companies, investment manager for an SEC regulated Income fund and Credit manager for a direct lending portfolio in the USA and Latin America.
He is a mentor at Startlife-up Hub Food and Agricultural innovations from around the world at the Universiteit van Wageningen, a world leading university for agricultural science and innovation located in the Netherlands. He mentors entrepreneurs in scaling-up internationally.
Eric Uleman graduated with an MBA from the University of Groningen and completed an MBA at the New York University, Leonard Stern School of Business.
He resides in the Netherlands and in the weekend can be found mountainbiking or playing squash.
