Heijo Hewel started his own consulting aside his mathematical studies to set up a new IT-Department at Brillux Lacquers and paints in Münster, Germany in 1972. Since then his area of expertise grew from punched cards to cloud, from operator to management consultant, from local to global business area, always at the forefront of the rapidly developing IT knowledge base. He was introducing the first Databases and their application in Germany, was involved in tooling development in rational rose and helped IBM to mature and coach globally the industry models in banking, insurance and utilities.
As a Mathematician, he was involved in the development of Fuzzy logic and neuronal nets, the base for his actual understanding of AI based processes.
All his life Heijo was an empathic Scout, founding a Troup in Münster-Gievenbeck, which is still part of his and his family’s life. 13 years he lived in France with his wife, his former sandpit girlfriend, to come back closer to his children and grand children in 2019.
Heijo is a data leader and would like to coach projects in his Metro Area in presence or globally in remote/hybrid.
