Julie Ashmore, JD, is President and CEO, of Ashmore Consulting LLC. Julie spent the first half of her career in various roles and responsibilities in local, state, and regional economic development and government, the nonprofit and private sector, and public accounting.
Her career was elevated to business advisor and senior consultant for Ernst & Young and KPMG, where she led teams, advised and managed clients from mid-market domestic and international organizations to Fortune 500, 1000, and Global 1000 firms. Julie has over twenty-five years of state and local taxation, economic development, site selection, tax credits and business incentives experience.
She has secured and implemented more than $570 million in state and local tax credits and incentives for clients and has helped them reduce long-term operating costs through location analysis.
She and her team work with a variety of industries including distribution and logistics, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, professional service providers, agri-business, aerospace/defense and the tech sector. Julie is an IndyCREW member, serving the membership, CREW Network committees and served three years on the CREW Global Network Industry Research Committee and Co-Chaired the committee in 2025 during the fifth benchmark study.
