Lungile spent 2017-2025 as Group Chief Information Officer at Sasol, leading global IT/OT modernisation across a multi-country estate and driving cloud, data and cybersecurity convergence at scale.
Prior to Sasol, he served as CEO & Country Managing Director at Diebold and earlier career of 12 years at Accenture with 3 years was a Partner, where he built and led the Smart Grid Practice. He is PMP-certified and a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA), with BSc and MSc degrees from UCT and a Certificate in Business Innovation (Stanford University).
With 12 years in management consulting and deep operator experience in both business and IT, Lungile is pivoting to an independent consultant focused on turning strategy into measurable outcomes — make value unavoidable, cost visibility, and governance evidence. He’s currently writing a practical technical book distilling lessons from consulting plus CIO/CEO roles into reusable playbooks for leaders.
