Narasimha Kumar - Member Profile

Narasimha Kumar has 25 years of global experience in technology and business strategy consulting, product management, quality and compliance, and commercial operations. He began his career with Tata Consultancy Services, and built a Consulting practice for TCS Life Sciences and Health Care verticals. Kumar is a domain expert and thought leader in GxP Compliance and Computer System Validation. As Senior Director of Technology Quality at Parexel, a global CRO, Kumar directed the quality, compliance and service excellence of clinical trial technology solutions, apart from leading the company’s cloud transformation workstream. Kumar also played a key role in the due diligence of companies during Merger and Acquisition process. Both at TCS and Parexel, Kumar was instrumental in setting up and growing Global Capability Centers in India.

During a career sabbatical from 2015 to 2017, Kumar founded two technology startups and exited them successfully. From 2021 to 2025, Kumar worked as Chief Product and Commercial Officer at Datafoundry AI, where he built AI-powered products in the safety vigilance space for Pharma, Cosmetics and Medical Devices. He also built the marketing and sales teams globally for the company. An early strategist and adopter of AI technologies, Kumar has consulted with multiple global enterprises in AI transformation of business processes while ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements. He publishes a newsletter on Linked In called ‘The AI Compass-Navigating Purposeful Innovation’, where he discusses the approaches for AI adoption, in a language suitable for both business and technical users.

Kumar’s most recent role has been as the Interim/Fractal CEO for a company research platform, helping them define their AI product strategy, Go To Market Planning, re-branding strategy and hiring a commercial team. Kumar is also a published author, having translated an award winning Telugu novel into English. He is currently working on his second book – a non-fiction.
