Sandeep Phanasgaonkar is a technology executive with over three decades of leadership across banking and financial services, including Group Chief Information Officer roles at Deutsche Bank (South Asia), GE Capital India, Genpact Global, Reliance Capital India, and Access Bank (Africa). He has driven business-technology transformations across India, the USA, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa, engaging senior management and boards on digital strategy, platform modernization, and change management.

Notable work includes a five-year IT strategy for Access Bank, a 15-month Flexcube core upgrade with multi-partner orchestration, omni-channel enhancements (internet banking, ATM/PoS, mobile), Customer-360, BPM-led process improvement, and a bank-wide cyber-security framework; at Reliance Capital, he led online trading at peak scale, enterprise virtualization, SAP for HR/Finance, and analytics for segmentation and risk.
Beyond delivery, he advises private equity and venture investors on technology due diligence and post-investment value creation; builds and mentors IT leadership (including CIO/CTO hiring); and leads remote software design and deployment—for example, a “Pay Later” fintech roll-out for e-commerce logistics.
